The importance of quality and a "quality experience" is synonymous when speaking of a vacation and / or travel experience. Discussions among industry operators and government representatives from across the Atlantic region continuously identify the need for there to be a way to "measure" the quality of an experience or the satisfaction of a visitor at an accommodation, restaurant and attraction.

In keeping with consumer expectations of having a "quality experience,"  the Atlantic Canada Tourism Industry Association Caucus is offering a Visitor Satisfaction Program for tourism operators in Atlantic Canada. The program allows visitors to rate their experience at tourism operations throughout Atlantic Canada and enables operators to learn more about their individual strengths and weaknesses.

The program also gathers macro information for each province, which identifies service deficiencies and helps demonstrate how operators can enhance the visitor experience and in turn, improve the overall operation of their business.

Your Industry Association will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering training to operators based on the macro feedback collected. The program is funded by Tourism Atlantic, ACOA, each participating Department of Tourism and program participants through their participation fee. This support from two levels of government demonstrates the commitment to industry and the importance of quality assurance when attracting tourism to the region.
